Trillium ovatum, aka coast trillium, aka Western Wake Robin, is common in the damp forest regions along the coast of the Pacific Northwest.

The trillium was chosen by Shaena Peterson (Peterson@OregonCoast.com) and CarpeData@aol.com to be the native plant mascot for the web site. The trillium on this page and the icon sized stylized version elsewhere was grown, photographed, scanned and edited by Michael McKeag of Portland, OR.
